Mary Ann Adzgery went to be with the Lord and join her beloved husband, Joe on God's eternal beach on Saturday, October 7th, 2023 following a brief illness. Born in Lyons, on August 28th, 1934, she grew up in Somerville and attended Somerville High where she was named "most beautiful." She moved to the big city of Houston following graduation, and during her first days living with girlfriends in the Montrose area visited the Tower Theater where she met the handsome theater manager. She told her girlfriends that very night, "I'm going to marry him!" She and Joseph Sam Adzgery were married on November 28, 1953 at Holy Rosary Chapel in Frenstat, Texas. They raised their three children in the greater Heights area, and after Joe retired from the City of Houston Traffic and Transportation dept., the couple fell in love with the beach life and split their time between homes in Galveston and Houston.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents Gus and Rosie, and her husband Joe. She leaves to mourn her memory three children: Ron Adzgery (Kristin), Rick Adzgery (Rosemary) and Sandy Adzgery as well as the loves of her life, her two treasured grandchildren Conner Adzgery and Kiera Adzgery. Mary Ann always put her family first, giving whatever was needed and always willing to lend a hand to help or an ear to listen. She will be greatly missed by family and so many friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 5:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM that evening. Funeral is scheduled for Friday, October 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas 77098. A graveside service will occur Monday, October 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023.

"Lord, in my eyes you were smiling. Softly calling, my name you were saying. All I had there, I have left on the sand there. Close to you, I will find other seas."
