Glenda Claudette Adkins
December 4, 1946 — March 11, 2021

Glenda Claudette Dyer Adkins, age 74, formally of Jackson, passed away in Knoxville, TN. She was born the second daughter of Claude and Alma Grissom Dyer. She attended school in Madison County and graduated from Watertown High School in Wilson County in 1966. She was married to Danny Lee Adkins Sr. for 49 years preceding his death in 2018. She was a homemaker and loved gardening, decorating, arts and crafts, cooking, and music. She resided in Germany with her children for several years when her husband served in the military.

She is survived by two daughters, Melissa Cubas-Ayala (Felix) of Murfreesboro, TN; Lori (Adel) Eltanbouli of Jackson, TN; one son, Danny Lee Adkins Jr. (Jennifer) of Lenoir City, TN; two sisters, Brenda (Bedford) Kellow of Lebanon, Tn: Camille Howell of Myrtle Beach, SC; and four grandchildren (Steven, Natalie, Jehanne and Mohamed). She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Adkins, her parents, and one brother, Michael Dyer.

Pallbearers to serve are Adel Eltanbouli, Mohamed Eltanbouli, Montrell Grant, and Felix Cubas Ayala.

SERVICES: the family will be receiving friends on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with a funeral service following at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Chuck Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
