Stephen Richard Vance, age 79, of Rices Landing, died October 16, 2023, in Washington Hospital. Stephen was born July 2, 1944, in Uniontown, the son of the late Stephen George and Catherine Urban Vance. He served his country in the United States Army in Korea and Japan. Stephen was a retired employee of the former Hatfield Power Plant station near Carmichaels. He is survived by a sister, Diane Shotter (Andy), of Carmichaels, a special niece, Annie M. Turner, a nephew, Devin Turner (Melissa), both of Mather, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Deceased in addition to his parents are 3 sisters: Dolores Brice, Eleanor Varesko, and Janet Farkosh.

Family and friends will be received from 11am-1pm on Saturday October 21, 2023, in the Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home, Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320. 724-966-5100. Paul M. Lesako Owner/Supervisor. Interment will follow at 11am on Monday October 23, 2023, at Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
