It is with great sadness we announce that River Bend Member, Stanley Benson Corey, Jr. passed away on September 30, 2023.

Stan proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era, serving first as a corpsman and eventually becoming head of a medical lab in Pax River, MD. From his youth, he loved the sea and boats and sailing and took great satisfaction from having spent time as a sailing instructor at the Naval Academy.

He went on to have a highly successful career as a personal financial planner. He founded Great Falls Financial Services which became c5 Wealth Management and at the time of his retirement had become United Capital. It gave him great pleasure that so many of his clients became his friends.

He loved golf here at River Bend Club. One of his proudest accomplishments was winning the Member-Member tournament with his best friend, Paul Summers. His golfing buddies were dear to him.

He was a devoted brother, uncle, father, grandfather and husband. He is survived by his loving wife Jayme Juncker; sons Niles Corey and his wife Michelle, and Russ Juncker and wife Cameron Kilberg; daughter Rachel Corey; much beloved grandchildren Ryann Corey, Cullan Corey, Kelli Corey, Jack Juncker, Barrett Juncker, and Benson Juncker. He was pre-deceased by his first grandchild, Patrick Corey. He also is survived by his two sisters Ann Trigg and Deborah Smith.

Stan left us way too soon after complications from a knee replacement surgery. He will be sorely missed.

A Memorial Mass will be held on October 13th at 1:30pm at St. Luke Catholic Church in McLean, VA. A reception will follow at River Bend Club.
