Frankfort- Services for Helen Louise Harden McDaniel, 83 yrs., of Pennacle Ct., will be conducted from the First Church of the Nazarene at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009. Rev. Justin Hayes will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford Co. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
A native of Oldham Co., she was born, July 30, 1925 and was a 1943 graduate from Bridgeport High School. She was a former employee of H.K. Porter, J.C. Penney�s and then retired from the Department of Transportation, Division of Motor Carriers, Ky. State Government. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
She leaves her sons, Arthur David (Diane) McDaniel, West Columbia, SC, William N. (Barbara) McDaniel, Frankfort, and Michael Allen (Terri) McDaniel, Ridgecrest, CA; her daughter, Mary Helen Louise (Jerry) Deaton, Frankfort; her sisters, Lorena Ellegood (Rankin-deceased), Georgetown, IN, and Virginia (Ralph) Stanton, Dickson, TN; grandchildren, David McDaniel, Tami Prazma, William T. Baader, William N. McDaniel Jr., Tony Wayne McDaniel, Stephanie Goodwin, Megan Johnson, Mary Helen Ashcraft, Christopher Chadwell, Stephen Chadwell, Angel Myers and Charity Myers; great grandchildren, Brittany Gardner, Cameron Gardner, Brandon T. Baader, Brian S. Baader, Nathan B. Baader, Logan Gadboe, Dustin Gadboe, Hannah S. McDaniel, Jackson W. McDaniel, Harper Goodwin, Keegan Goodwin and Malaki Johnson, Jasmine Shannon, Aryana Withrow, Diamond Withrow, Epiphany Chadwell, McKenna Chadwell, Tyler Flagherty, Jayden Chadwell and Savana Redmon and great-great grandchild, Jaycy Baader.
She was the widow of Arthur "Bud� McDaniel and was the daughter of the late Enos David and Mary Frances Casey Harden. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Harden and Fred "Buster� Harden.
Pallbearers will be Chris Chadwell, Dave M. McDaniel, Tom Baader, Bill McDaniel Jr., Tony McDaniel, and Jerry Deaton.
