Wilburn "Glynn" Russell, age 90, of Floresville, passed away on October 14, 2023. Born on November 3, 1932, in Wilson County Texas to Ima Iola (Hoggett) and Robert Herman Russell. Glynn proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a mason and a member of the Texas Lodge #8 AF & AM in San Antonio. Glynn will also be remembered as a lifetime member of the Mesquite Trail Drivers. A true Texas Character, Glynn loved everyone and everything, but his most precious times were spent with his family who knew and loved him as "Pops".

He is preceded in death by his son, Gary Key Russell, his parents, sister Frances Caraway, and husband Elmer, brother, Stanley Russell and wife Kay, and brothers-in-law, Carl Shaw and Hugh Ellington.

Survivors include his daughter, Ritzie Wyly and husband Robert; step-son, Ronny Perry and wife Chris; daughter-in-law, Patti Russell; grandchildren, Keith Russell and wife Deanna, Kevin Russell and wife Marissa, Joshua Watkins, and Ronny Perry, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kaizley Russell, Sawyer Russell, Maverick Russell, and Dalton Perry; sisters, Barbara Ellington and Deloris Shaw; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Interment with masonic rite services will follow in the Dewville Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Russell, Kevin Russell, Joshua Watkins, Cris Friske, Robert Wyly, and Kirby Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Powell, Eddie Stocks, and in memoriam, Henry Livergood.
