TUCKER, Audrey Blanche - passed away peacefully, October 4, 2022 at The Maples Home for Seniors in Tavistock. She was 96. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Norman Kenneth Tucker on October 29, 2008.

Audrey was the loving and caring mother of Nancy and her husband Louis Silcox of New Hamburg, Patricia and her husband James Ambrose of Elliot Lake.

She showered affection on her two granddaughters, Meredith Ballaban of Elora, Aliesa Thompson and her husband Drew of Sheguiandeh, Manitoulin Island. Audrey celebrated the joy of being the great-grandmother to Avery, Mae and Clara Ballaban; Xander and Kaelen Thompson.

The second born of the four children of Arol and Stella Redman of Innerkip, Ontario. She is survived by her brother Howard, and his wife Dora Redman of London. She was predeceased by her brother Milton Redman and her sister Doris Allen.

On the Innerkip farm, Audrey learned to shoot a rifle, hoe a garden and skate to school on the frozen river that ran at the back of the Redman farm.

She married her true love Norman Tucker on August 25, 1945 after Norm returned from service with the Royal Canadian Navy at the conclusion of World War II.

Bright, dedicated and conscientious, Audrey was the office supervisor for many years at Hickson Public School and later for the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock.

Bridge was Audrey's game of choice and she met once a month with her bridge club friends for over 60 years.

Audrey loved to sing and as a young girl, she and her sister Doris provided entertainment at various box socials and celebrations in the Innerkip area. In later years, she attended Grace United Church of Tavistock and was a devoted member of the church choir.

Burial will take place at Innerkip Cemetery. A private celebration of Audrey's life will be held.

Expressions of sympathy will be passed to Audrey's charities of choice: Pet Patrol; The Waterloo Wellington Science and Engineering Fair, Grace United Church.
