James Badger Sr. married Elizabeth Swint, and they were the parents of Daniel Badger, Elizabeth Rhoda Badger Haumbaum, Ann Badger, Catherine Badger, James Badger Jr., Margaret Badger, Rebecca Badger, Harriett Badger and Martha Badger. James Badger Sr. was the grandson of the famous portrait artist Joseph Badger Sr.
