His regiment (which was the 4th Connecticut Regiment led by Lt Col Ichabod Lewis) did not fight. The regiment returned to North Fairfield Parish, Connecticut. had that SAR medallion placed on his grave. The Town of Milton gave him a Veteran's Ceremony. He had never been acknowledged by either DAR or SAR until I proved his service.
