Died age 82 years. "Fought in the American Revolution Aug 1776. He was on the outskirts of Long Island when George Washington was losing the Battle of Brooklyn Heights. His regiment (which was the 4th Connecticut Regiment led by Lt Col Ichabod Lewis) did not fight. The regiment returned to North Fairfield Parish, Connecticut. had that SAR medallion placed on his grave. The Town of Milton gave him a Veteran's Ceremony. He had never been acknowledged by either DAR or SAR until I proved his service.
