Jan. 13, 1971 - April 15, 2008
MISHAWAKA - Cara Michelle Hudson, 37, of Mishawaka, passed away at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend, surrounded by her family. Cara was born January 13, 1971, in South Bend, Indiana, to Mr. and Mrs. Barry, and Karen (Szucs) Ukele. She was the fourth of four girls in the Ukele family. Cara was a graduate of Penn High School, class of 1989, and was employed as the office manager at Associated X-Ray of South Bend. For the last several years, Cara was a homemaker. On October 21, 1995, the former Ms. Ukele was united in marriage to Mr. Ted W. Hudson. Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Ted, along with their precious children, Wesley and Sara Hudson, both of Mishawaka; three sisters, Carmen (Mike) Wojtysiak, Carla (Dave) Price and Coleen (Dave) Manspeaker, all of Mishawaka; and her parents, Barry and Karen Ukele of Mishawaka. Surviving as well are her mother and father-in-law, Eugene and MaryJane Hudson, 14 nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 17, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, Indiana. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 18, in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum on the grounds of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Cara loved to cook for our many family outings, and was known by her nieces and nephews as "the best cooker." She liked to work outdoors and enjoyed fishing. Cara loved her family dearly and was loved greatly in return. No words can express the loss we feel and how we will miss her every day until we meet again. We are certain Cara is at peace. Little did we know that day, That God would call her name. In life we love you dearly, And in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, Although you did not go alone, For part of us went with her, That day God called her home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Cara's children, Wesley and Sara. Online condolences may be sent to the Hudson family at www.chapelhillmemorial.com.
