Marry Jane (Drummins) Fry was born Jan 25, 1857 in Missouri. She was the oldest daughter born to Benjamin and Sarah Drummins. In 1875 she married William Henry Fry, a farmer and former teacher at the local school in the community. They lived on a farm near Honey Grove County, Missouri and all of their children were born there before moving to Redding, Iowa. The children in order of birth were Stanford Leroy "Roy" Fry, John Benjamin Earnest Fry, Sarah Mabel Fry, William Earl Fry, Besaida "Ada" Agness Fry, Angie "Ann" Birdie Fry and Virgil Fry who died while still an infant of six months. After their three oldest children migrated to North Dakota to homestead land, and Earl had moved to Kansas, Mary and Will moved to Hartville, Missouri with their two youngest daughters Ada and Ann. Six months later Ada died from diphtheria at the age of 16. During this time Will Fry had studied and became an Osteopathic Physician. Heartbroken over Ada's death they left Hartville and moved to Paola, Kansas and were joined by their son Earl who lived nearby. Mary Fry would later return to Grant City, Missouri to help care for her parents who were in declining health. Will was practicing Osteopathy in both Kansas and Missouri, and still farming and carpentering on the side. He died in 1915 and was buried next to their daughter Ada in Hartville, Missouri at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mary died April 19, 1936 and was buried at Honey Grove Cemetery in Grant City, Missouri near their son Virgil.
