Mr. Jimmie Lee Hodge passed away on September 22, 2023. He was born in Saulsbury, Tennessee, on August 3, 1948, to the late Dave Hodge, Sr. and Grace Joy Hodge. He was the eighth of ten children. He was the baby boy. His siblings treated him as such.

Jimmie was named after his uncle. He was known as the "brains" of his siblings. That's because, as a little boy, he read all the time.

The family moved to Memphis, Tennessee, in January 1951, settling in the Orange Mound Neighborhood. He was raised in a close family with love. No matter when a family member needed something, he was there. Also, for friends, all you had to do was call. He had a quiet spirit.

Jimmie was a proud Melrose High School graduate, class of 1967. After graduation, he enlisted in the Navy for four years. While in the Navy, he was baptized and accepted Christ as his savior. Returning home, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service and graduated and received an associate degree in Business from Owen College, retiring from Tension Envelope. He loved to travel, golf, try new restaurants, and be with family & friends.

Jimmie was married to Carrie Jefferson Hodge in 1975. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his family and friends who loved him.

His parents and siblings, Will T. Mason, Dave Hodge, Jr., Levone (Boose) Hodge, Callie H. Clark, Elma H. Anderson, and Mayflower H. Hardaway Campbell, preceded him.
