Uncle Lamar was the husband of my Aunt Lucille. This is his obituary:
Funeral services for Nesbit Lamar Hall, Sr. were held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2001, in Antioch Baptist Church with Elder Fred Gordon and the Rev. Chris Hall officiating.  The Revs. J. E. Harris and Cliff Morgan officiated the committal at Zion Hope Cemetery Annex in Crisp County.  Hughes & Wright Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.Luanne Turner, pianist, provided soft music for the service and accompanied the congregation as they sang "In the Garden", led by Nesbitt Hall, Jr.  Mrs. Turner also accompanied the Wesley Chapel Singers, led by Michael Mims, as they sang "Lord, Build Me a Cabin in Glory."Pallbearers were Derwin Hall, M. L. Hall, Jr., Billy Dorough, Dwaine Childers, Stanley Hartley, and William Scott.  Honorary pallbearers were the Wesley Chapel Singers.Mr. Hall, 80, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001 in Crisp Regional Hospital.  He was a native of Crisp County, a retired farmer and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.  He was a member of the Patesville Community Club and the Singing Convention and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.  He was the son of the late Milton Aaron Hall and the late Ruby Lee James.He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Woodliff Hall, and three sisters, Annette Hartley, Lavedia Childers and Bernice Banks.He is survived by three sons, Richard Hall and Nesbit Hall, both of Arabi and the Rev. Chris Hall of Albany; one daughter, Melissa Brod of Cordele; three brothers, J. O. Hall, M. L. Hall, Sr. and Ed Hall of Atlanta and five grandchildren.Memorials may be given to the Zion Hope Cemetery Fund.
