Claude E. Reynolds, 75, a longtime resident of Bennington, VT and more recently of Woodford Lake Estates died Sunday January 6, 2013 at the SVMC in Bennington. He was born in Springfield, MA May 29, 1937. He was the son of the late Carl and Josephine (Clark) Reynolds. Claude received his education in Bennington. For 4 years he served in the United States Air Force. He married the former Joan A. Hawks on December 15, 1960 at the First United Methodist Church in Bennington. In earlier years Claude was employed at the Union Carbide Corp. in Bennington. He later worked at Car Quest/NAPA in Bennington from which he retired. Claude was a member of the Green Mountain Car Club. Over the years he restored several vintage cars and he most recently restored a 1977 Thunderbird. He enjoyed NASCAR and was a Notre Dame fan. In earlier years he enjoyed riding motorcycles. Survivors include his wife Joan A. Reynolds of Woodford; Three daughters and their spouses, Christine Reuschel and Michael, Deborah Maille and Andy, and Missi Reynolds; His grandchildren, Carl and Adam Reynolds-Reuschel, Kaayla Sjaan and Chey Amber Reynolds-Hunt and Devon and Jackson Maille.
