He was the son of Delma Lee and Floy Jean (Wilson) Copeland. He attended McAlester High School and lived in Pittsburg County most of his life. He married Honey Fay Thompson on June 30, 1995, in McAlester. He worked for several years for the highway department of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his father, D.L. Copeland; paternal grandparents, Otto and Lottie Copeland, and his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Ona Faye Wilson. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Christian officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
