Glenn E. Cekal, 80, Lincoln, died Saturday (03/01/2008). Born June 16, 1927 to Lillian (Zabka) and Edward Cekal at Fairbury. Lincoln resident since 1938 and longtime realtor. Served in the U.S. Army Airborne. An ardent proponent of citizen participation in government, he often appeared before the Lincoln City Council and other goverment bodies to support neighborhood and quality-of-life issues.

Survivors: niece and husband, Tiffanie Morrow and Michael Lieber, Jackson Heights, N.Y.; close friend, Kay Graber, Lincoln.

Preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Margaret.

Cremation - no formal services.
