Jamie Franklin Campbell, age 81 , of 900 Wagon Trail Road, passed away on Friday evening April 11, 2008 , at Morehead Memorial Hospital Hospital in Eden. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Overlook Cemetery in Eden. Mr. Campbell was born on September 26, 1926 in Henry County, Virginia to the late Thomas Jefferson Campbell and Clarice Martin Campbell. He was a WWII and Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Jamie was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Martinsville and a member also of the Horsepasture Christian Church. Mr. Campbell is survived by 4 brothers; Hardy and Ernest Campbell of Ridgeway , Connie Campbell of Martinsville, Wayne Campbell of Bassett, Va. 2 sisters; Glenda C. Mays and Jeanette C. Joyce both of Ridgeway, 30 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Shively Campbell, a brother, Thomas W. Campbell, sisters Pauline Josefson and Doris Maddox.
