Our Beloved mother, grandmother and sister Patricia Shell was received in Glory Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
Pat was born February 6, 1942 in Crossnore Hospital.
Pat is survived by sons Chris Shell of Alexandria Virginia, Jamie (Rebecca) Shell of Jonas Ridge; Daughter Angel Shell (Rick) of Mars Hill; Grandchildren Jordan Baker, Alexis Baker and Molly Shell. Sister; Sandy Henderson (Buzz) of Jonas Ridge.
Pat is preceded in death by her daughter Joann Shell, her parents Virgil and Wilma Barrier, Brothers Richard Barrier and Virgil Barrier Jr.; Sister: Glenda Thompson.
Pat worked for the US Postal Service for over 30 years. She loved gardening, hiking and anything outdoors with friends and family. In her later years Pat made handmade crafts for several ministries. She was a member of the Newland United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Jonas Ridge United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Samaritan's Purse.
The care of Patricia and her family has been entrusted to Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home of Newland.
