Constance Valerie Seymour, 83, passed away on Sunday, October 1st, 2023, after a short illness.
She was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on April 24th, 1940, the eldest of five children to Albert Henry Seymour and Persis Luella (Glidden) Seymour.
When Connie was young her family moved to Richardson Rd. in rural Ashby, Mass, where growing up she developed a love for horses, flowers, and an interest in nature that stayed with her throughout her life. She attended primary school with her siblings at the Seventh-day Adventist Church School on Summer St. in Fitchburg and later went on to attend Ashby High School and for a short time South Lancaster Academy. She graduated from Ashby High School in 1958.
Connie loved music. She was a talented singer blessed with perfect pitch. As a young woman Connie frequently performed together with her two sisters as a musical trio, singing hymns for services at the Fitchburg SDA Church.
In 1961 Connie moved with her family to South Lancaster, Mass, where she later studied Art for a time at Atlantic Union College. She loved to read and was a gifted artist.
Connie was predeceased by her twin brothers, David E Seymour of Harrisburg, PA (April 2009) and Daniel J Seymour of South Lancaster, MA (June 2023). She leaves her sisters, Beverly Lance of Roanoke, VA; Norma Niemi of Fitzwilliam, NH; her sister-in-laws, Sue Seymour of South Lancaster, MA and Barbara Willis of Pilot, VA; nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Connie was a long-time member of the Village Church of Seventh-day Adventists in South Lancaster. A memorial service will be held for her there at a later date. Burial will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Fitchburg.
