Wilfred Robert Anderson was born December 12, 1948 in Breckenridge, MN, the son of Robert Lee & Elinor (Eichhorn) Anderson. He grew up near Sonora in Devillo Township and attended country school and then Hankinson High School. Wilfred worked for various farmers and then attended NDSCS for welding & worked at Wil-Rich. Wilfred married Kathleen Gettman and they had 2 children: Angie & Randy. He moved to Browns Valley, MN he worked for Goodhart Brothers.
He married Tammy Beeson & they lived on the family farm near Sonora. In 2001 he moved to Texas until 2013 when he moved to Wahpeton, ND and lived there until 2022 when he moved to Hankinson, where he lived until his death.
Wilfred enjoyed riding horse, camping, dancing and liked to tinker. He rode in the centennial wagon from Fort Ransom to Bismarck. He loved being around family and was always willing to help.
He is survived by his children Angela (Andy) Haggerty & Randy (Lori) Anderson; Angie & Randy's half-sister, Cora (Colin) Nordquist & their children; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; Wilfred's half-sister, Kathleen (Roger) Navratil; special friend, Rose and many cousins, nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and first wife: Kathleen.
