Ryan Kirkwood Pearson, 34, of Helena, passed away on Sept. 26, 2023, after an accident while working on his truck. Ryan was born on June 6, 1989, to parents Timothy and Barbara Pearson in Kalispell.

He graduated from Montana Tech in 2015 with a degree in engineering and at the time of his passing, he worked as a civil engineer at Great West Engineering. His coworkers became an extended family and he cherished their friendships.

Ryan was everyone's favorite; he left a lasting and positive impression on everyone he met. He had a warm heart, soft touch, and strong constitution that most men should be envious of. Ryan was genuine and honest in all his interactions, strongly committed to his family, friends, and coworkers. He cared deeply for all who were a part of his life and he showed how much he cared in the way he brought everyone together. Ryan had many talents and interests, but his happy place was somewhere on a dirt road with a cold Coors Light in hand or deep in the woods chasing elk. He will be remembered by all for his larger-than-life personality that filled a room with laughter and warmth. Ryan had a knack for squeezing all the joy there was to be had out of life and while he lived, he really lived.

Ryan is survived by his wife Leslie; children Cedar and Asher; parents Timothy and Barbara; and sister Casey.

A celebration of life will be held Oct. 8 at 1 pm at the Kleffner Ranch in Helena. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Cedar and Ashers college fund. They would love to hear your favorite stories of Ryan and ask that they be emailed to [email protected]. There will also be a place to submit your stories at the service.
