William Elmer Blizzard of Adrian, GeorgiaSeptember 7, 1929 - October 1, 2023

Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Mr. William Elmer Blizzard age 94 of Adrian, GA on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home. 
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Sam Adkins and Pastor Mike Blizzard officiating.       
Interment will follow in the Sardis Cemetery
The family will receive friends at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church one hour prior to services. 
Pallbearers are Nephews.
Mr. Blizzard was born in Johnson County to the late Charlie Thomas and Bertie Hutcheson Blizzard. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Blizzard enlisted in the US Navy in 1947 as a Seaman Recruit and retired as a Lieutenant Commander after 23 years of service. He served in many duty stations in the United States, Puerto Rico, Seoul South Korea, as well as four ship assignments in the Atlantic Fleet. He was a member of the Military Officers Association of America. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Martha Jeanette Barwick Blizzard, brothers Charles G. Blizzard, Olon Lamar Blizzard, sisters Kathryn Brantley, Sarah Nell Boulineau, and Margaret Blizzard. 
Memorial contributions may be made to Sardis Primitive Baptist Church.
