Beverly was born on November 21st, 1926 and passed away on September 27th, 2023 at the age of 96.

Beverly Adams Pendleton, 96, passed away September 27, 2023 in Cedar City, Utah. She was born November 21, 1926 at her family home in Parowan to Lawrence James Adams & Emily Agusta Dalton. She grew up in Parowan and attended Parowan High School. She then went on to attend BYU under a two-year music scholarship. While there she was offered an oboe scholarship from the Juilliard School of music, which she turned down to return to Parowan and marry John Cyril Pendleton. They were married on July 2, 1946 in Las Vegas and were later solemnized in the St. George Temple.

Beverly worked many jobs growing up. But most remember her friendly face at the bank in Parowan where she made many great friendships over the 30 years she worked there. She loved playing cards, reading, genealogy and the color purple. But most of all, she loved her family and the gospel. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved her Lord and Savior. She held many callings throughout her life to serve the gospel. She was a great example to everyone around her and truly epitomized the Savior's teaching in loving everyone.

She is survived by her children Regalian (Sherrie) Pendleton of St. George, Utah, Lawrence (Cindy) Pendleton of Parowan, Utah, Rebecca Pendleton Fokkema of West Valley, Utah, and son-in-law Roger Gurr of Parowan, Utah. Along with her twelve grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Lawrence James Adams & Emily Augusta Dalton Adams, her
two daughters Denise Pendleton and Bonnie Gurr, a great-granddaughter Sybil Sarager, two of her son-in-
laws Frank Fokkema and Chris Beaumont, her brothers Bruce Adams and Larry Adams, and her sisters Helen Hansen, Joan Stewart, and Renee Fife.

Services will be held on October 6, 2023 at the Parowan 3rd Ward Church Building. The viewing will take place from 10:30 – 11:30 am with the funeral starting at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Parowan City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. www.mortuary.org
