Sandra (Sandy) passed away peacefully Sunday, September 24, 2023 in Richmond, Texas. She was born April 18, 1941 in Scranton, PA, to Burdett and Grace Scranton. She was an only child, and attended Edgewood High School, and continued her education in accounting and computer sciences.

She worked for Gulf Oil, and transferred to the Houston office. There she met her husband, Haywood (Woody) Bartlett. Gulf Oil later became known as Chevron. She retired in 2001, after 20 years of service. She always wanted to go to work, and felt she had let the company down by retiring.

In retirement she enjoyed trips, music, shopping and dining with her friends. She lived by and became fast friends with a large family. The Young's happily adopted her into their family, and she attended showers, weddings and holidays. After 30+ years in the Young family, she will be greatly missed.

Sandy was witty, spunky and yet, very soft spoken. She is preceded in death by her parents, Burdett and Grace Scranton, and her husband, Haywood Bartlett.

She leaves behind Linda Young and Alton Redmond, Judith Young and Aubrey Norris, Barbara Young, and a host of extended family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers are Alton Redmond, Aubrey Norris, Thomas Potter, and Wade Dennison.
