Gary Daniel Hurd Sr., 74, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital. Born August 21, 1949 in Lexington to the late Carl and Helen Lily Hurd. He was the owner of Hurd Concrete Company. He leaves his five children , Kimberly Treadway of Lexington, Beverly Hurd of Lexington, Gary "Yogi" Hurd Jr. of Lexington, Saundra Atkins of Frankfort, Gary Wayne "Bubba Hurd of Lexington; two brothers, Randy Hurd of Lancaster and Ricky Hurd of Lexington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Stevens, Sherry Kakar and a brother, Timmy Hurd. Services will be held at 12:30 Thursday at Kerr Brothers – Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be from 10:30 – 12:30 Thursday. Burial will be in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
