Monday, May 26, 1958:
"Claude L. Westfall. Claude LeRoy Westfall, 69, of 1543 Montgomery St., died yesterday in a local hospital. Mr. Westerfall [sic] was born in California. Among survivors are two brothers, Earl and Ray, both of Oroville. Funeral services will be conducted by the Chico Burial Society."

"Claude L. Westfall.
Funeral services for Claude L. Westfall, 72, who died Sunday, will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m., at Apostolic church, 1031 Sycamore St., Chico. Mr. Westfall was born in Red Bluff, where he was a stockman and butcher before coming to Oroville seven years ago. He is survived by four brothers, Ray and Earl Westfall, of Oroville, Oscar Westfall of Corning, and Charlie Westfall of Medford, Ore.; five sisters, Mrs. Eva Sulem, Mrs. Martha Hull, and Mrs. Bertha Hull, all of Chico, Mrs. Ethel Russell, of Corning, and Mrs. Carrie Newcomer of Stockton. Services for Mr. Westfall will be conducted by the Christian Service Society of Butte County, and burial will be in the Society's Cemetery near Chico."
