Born in Lodi, California the daughter of Elmer McClung of Michigan and Myrtle A. (Coil) McClung of Illinois.

Hazel Lillian Adkins died on Thursday July 9, 1964 at the Butte County Hospital in Oroville.
She is survived by two sons, Dale Adkins of Durham and Bob Adkins of Yuba City; four daughters, Mrs. Doris Hiatt, and Mrs. Thelma Snowden, both of Durham, Mrs. Gladys O'Farrell of Butte City, and Mrs. Maxine Killingsworth of Nelson, as well as a half-sister, Mrs. Thelma Ebert of Independence, Calif.

Widow of the late Llewellyn Adkins, she had lived in Butte County for the past 38 years, and was a housewife.

Funeral services were held at Timmons-Van Hook Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 1964, with Rev. James O. Miller officiating. Casket bearers were Gene Ferris, Robert Adkins, Patrick O'Farrel, Jim Snowden, Floyd Adkins Jr., and Michael O'Farrel.

Interment was at the Christian Society Cemetery in Durham.
