Carlos E. Wilson, 61, of Anderson, died April 11, 2008, at his residence.
He was born March 22, 1947, in Livingston, Tenn., to Elbert F. and Vallie M. Wilson.
After high school, Carlos joined the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam Conflict from Dec. 6, 1966, until Aug. 24, 1968. As a military policeman, he was decorated with a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Star Medals, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 2% Bars and Marksman (Rifle M-14) Expert (.45 Cal).
After Vietnam and returning home, he married Arlene Alberts in November 1972.
Two of Carlos' passions in life, and for most of his 61 years, were hunting and fishing. He was a trophy bass fisherman, as well as an excellent hunter of deer. Carlos worked for Inland Fisher Guide until he retired.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Arlene (Alberts) Wilson of Anderson; daughters, Cheyna (Ricky) Shannon and April (Tom) Barnett; a son, Jimmy (Jennifer) Stephens; grandchildren, Ryan Bowen, Zachariah Caswell, Justin Caswell, Mackenzie Bowan, Danial Shannon, James, Brett, Brooke and Cassandra Stephens; his mother, Vallie M. (Walker) Wilson; siblings, Evelyn Wilson, Danny (Vicky) Wilson, Vickie Wilson and Billy Wilson; sister-in-law, Sherry Wilson; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.
Carlos was preceded in death by his father, Elbert F. Wilson; and a brother, Albert Wilson.
Cremation will take place.
