1st m. 10.9.1845 Eliza Rohrer. 2nd m. Susanna Tillet (8.11.1839-2.29.1908). He was born on a farm near Frederick, Maryland. When eight years old he came with his parents to a farm near Dayton, Ohio. From there he came, after marriage to Eliza Rohrer, to Miami County, Indiana, where he raised his family. Children by 1st wife: Daniel, Samuel, Jessie, Joseph, David, Mary. By second wife: Eliza died in infancy, Joshua, Will, Isaac. His second wife, Susanne Tillet, had two daughters, Sophia and Dora, when she married Joshua. He is buried in the Mays Cemetery near Onward, Indiana.
