1918 – 2004
Heber City – Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Lavon Anderson Tadd, age 85, passes away Friday, November 19, 2004, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 24, 1918, in Heber City, the daughter of John Alexander and Mary Alice Bagley Anderson. Married Reginald C. Tadd on November 29, 1939, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple.
Lavon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many capacities including ward Relief Society and Stake Young Women's Presidency. Throughout the years she worked for Palace Drug, Christensen Clothing, and helped Reg and Pearl operate Anderson Hardware.
One of Lavon's favorite pastimes was traveling, anywhere. Her family was the most important in her life. She always had time for her grandchildren and they always knew she loved them.
She is survived by her husband, Reginald C. Tadd; daughter-in-law, Margene Tadd; four grandchildren: Jolene (Jay) Johnson, Angie (John) Sulser, Cynthia (Michael Adams) Tadd, Corey A. (Brooke) Tadd: and sister Pearl Maddox. (The obituary does not mention two other grandchildren who are sons of Dennis R. Tadd: Michael Tadd and Richard Tadd). She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis R. Tadd and Floyd H. Tadd; and four sisters.
Funeral servies will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2004 – 12 Noon in the Heber LDS 3rrd Ward Church, 244 East 400 South, Heber City. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, Heber City, and on Wednesday from 10:45 – 11:45 A.M. prior to the services at the LDS church.
