Margaret M. (Anibas) Kahabka, 72, of Eau Claire was born on June 24, 1935, and died on March 5, 2008, at Dove Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation in Eau Claire. Marge was born in Arkansaw, oldest child of Tony and Alice (Thibedeau) Anibas. She attended elementary and high school in Arkansaw, graduating in 1953. After graduation, she moved to St. Paul and was employed at Univac. She married Joseph Kahabka, and had one son, Steven. In later years, they resided in Denver and retired in Florida. She returned to Plum City in 2002 after the death of her husband. Marge was a very generous person, loved little children, painting and cooking. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Marge is survived by four brothers, David (Dorothy) Anibas of Arkansaw, Daniel Anibas of Arkansaw, Robert (Carol) Anibas of Weyauwega and Kevin Anibas of Menomonie; four sisters, Patricia (Calvin) Longsdorf of Plum City, Audrey (Robert) Pelke of Durand, Roberta (Frank) Zadra of Spooner and Marilyn (William) Yingst of Arkansaw; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceding Margaret in death were her husband, Joseph; son, Steven, in 2006; parents; one brother, Valentine; and nephew, Jerry Anibas.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, at St. John's Catholic Church in Plum City, with the Rev. Ambrose Blenker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
