Jody Norma Tatera, daughter of the late Norman W. and Judith M. (Ashby) Tatera, was born June 15, 1968, in Elmhurst, Illinois, and departed this life August 31, 2023, near Drury, Missouri. She was 55 years, 2 months, and 16 days of age.
Jody had a big heart and showed it by caring for others. She liked bringing people together and she would always be the life in the room. She was a "daddy's girl" and the bond they shared was unbreakable. Jody enjoyed spending time on the lake, fishing, and going on road trips while listening to good music. She also liked playing the lottery scratchers. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Jody also enjoyed her time volunteering with the fire department.
Besides her parents, Jody was preceded in death by one sister, Angela Johnson.

Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie Francis (Taylor); three brothers, Richard Tatera (Michelle), Daniel Tatera (Tina), and Loren Tatera (Joanne Speno); one brother-in-law, George Andrews; six grandchildren, Riker Fisher, Thomas Willoughby, Gary Willoughby, Nevaeh Francis, Taylor Francis, and Atticus Francis; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
