She was the daughter of Cornelius and Amelia (Heitkamp) Goecke. On Apr 20, 1963, in Maria Stein, she married Merinus Puthoff, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons: Retired Colonel Frederick A. (Hyesuk) Puthoff, Manassas, VA, Mark (Theresa) Puthoff, Coldwater, and Thomas (Rhonda) Puthoff, Maria Stein; two daughters: Ann (Douglas) Horvath, Brookville, and Jill (Doyle) Hicks, Lewis Center; three siblings: Jim (Mary) Goecke, Brownsburg, IN, and Dan (Shirley) Goecke and Linda (Keith Knox) Rabold, both Centerville; and ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother-in-law, John Rabold.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and the Lady's Sodality of the Church. She was a member of various card clubs, a lucky and avid BINGO player and loved crocheting personal bear blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to Lake Erie and perch fishing with her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, with burial to follow in St. John Cemetery.
