Graveside services for Patricia Black Bateman 89, of Athens have been scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday September 25, 2023 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Mabank. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday September 24, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. at Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
Patricia Black Bateman, affectionately known as Mama, Mom, and Granny, peacefully went to be with our Lord on September 21, 2023. She made living for the Lord her life and instilled the same in her family.
Pat leaves behind many memories that demonstrated her values of selflessness, compassion, empathy, and boundless love. She was the true epitome of Proverbs 31 woman and an example to all who knew her.
Pat's legacy continues through her beloved husband, Jack and three children, Kimberly Baker and husband Joey, Kathy Bateman, Scott Bateman and wife Kristi as well as nine grandchildren and their spouses, Shanna Lopez and husband, David Lopez, Jennifer Fisher and husband, Jason Fisher, Shaun Jackson and wife, Lacey Jackson, Jack Allen Prewitt and wife, Katy Prewitt, Brandon Jackson, Lauren Meeker and husband, Dan Meeker, Jordan Bateman, Jeremy Bateman and wife, Jill Bateman and Joshua Bateman, and fourteen great grandchildren. Her sassiness, her laughter, and her love for always having fun will sincerely be missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.
