Mrs. Lottie W. Schadel KLINGERSTOWN
The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at Klingerstown RD [Rough and Ready, Upper Mahantongo] for Mrs. Lottie Williard Schadel, 78, a lifelong resident of Klingerstown [Upper Mahantongo Township] , who died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she had been admitted August 25.
A school teacher, she taught in Mahantongo Valley for a number of years. Born Sept. 17, 1898, at Klingerstown RD, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna Yoder Williard. She was the widow of Silas Schadel, who died in 1970.
A member of the Salem United Church of Christ. Klingerstown RD [Rough and Ready, Upper Mahantongo], she also belonged to the senior citizens group of Valley View. She was an auxiliary member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association.
Surviving are three children, Willard Schadel of Wilmington, Aston Schadel of Harrisburg and Mrs. Phyllis Huntzinger of Stafford, Virginia, four grandchildren; one brother, William Howard Williard of Klingerstown RD; and two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Kilraine of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Pearl Keim of Mount Carmel.
