Evelyn Francis Humphrey, 96, widow of Robert Lewis Humphrey, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at her home in Nicholasville. She was born in Woodford County on May 25, 1927, to the late Floyd Thomas Flora and Mary Olivia Huffman. Evelyn was a founding member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Bob Doolin (Hazel); daughters, Etta M. Smith (Paul), and Janet McKinney (Frank); ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Robert, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Houp; son-in-law, Rusty Houp; as well as three sisters and one brother. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 26, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastors John Ritchie and Tommy Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where bearers will be Bobby Doolin Jr., David Doolin, Bradley Doolin, Tracy Eades, Michael Mosher, and Matthew Mosher. Lane Smith will serve as an honorary bearer.
