James E. "Johnny" Justice, 88, of Forest Hills, KY, passed away Wednesday September 20, 2023, at Pikeville Medical Center. Johnny was born June 9, 1935, at McAndrews, KY, to the late Ernest Justice and Montana Justice. Johnny is also preceded in death by his wife; Della Justice, and his sisters, Thelma and Jean. Johnny was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, a coal miner and a Kentucky Colonel. Johnny was also a member of the East Point Fellowship Church.
Johnny is survived by his children; James R. (Rosemary) Justice of Forest Hills, KY, and Suzanne (Michael) Weddington of Forest Hills, KY. Johnny is also survived by his grandchildren; Jamie (Rod) McCoy, Anne Justice and Cody (Stephanie) Weddington, his great grandchildren; Lillee McCoy, Renlee McCoy, Marilyn Trivette and Tori Jones, his surviving family, Paula, Trish Lynch, Bob Ray Miller, a special friend; Margaret Finley and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Sunday September 24, 2023, at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with James Justice officiating. Entombment will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens Mausoleum with church family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 PM Saturday night at the funeral home. Belfry Chapter #141 of the D. A. V. will conduct military rites. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY, is serving the Justice family.
