Suggested edit: Domitilde Drouin (maiden name). Domitilde went by the nick names Matilda, Mathilda and Tillie. Domitilde (a twin) was born in Quebec. She died in La Crosse, Wisconsin in 1916 at the home of her daughter Nellie, then known as Mrs. Henry Tabbert. Domitilde has no gravestone but is buried next to her husband Nazaire in St. Patrick Cemetery, rural Winona County. (The church there burned down.) Domitilde's second husband was Charles W. Asselin, another French-Canadian, who was living at the time in the La Crosse area.

Domilthide was born on 02 Dec 1841 and was baptized on 03 Dec 1841 to the legitimate marriage of François Derouin, farmer and Marguerite Brazeau of the Saint-Hermas Parish, St-Hermas, New France (now Mirabel, Quebec, Canada) .
NOTE: Her twin bother Alexandre passed away at the tender age 2 years old on 21 Dec 1843 and he buried on 23 Dec 1843, Saint-Hermas Parish Cemetery, St-Hermas, New France (now Mirabel, Quebec, Canada)

Their marriage was blessed with 12 children.

She then married Charles Wenceslas Asselin on November 27, 1909, in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
She died on February 7, 1916, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, at the age of 74, and was buried in Winona County, Minnesota.
