Michael Wayne "Mike" Alford, 59, of Dizney departed this life suddenly on Monday, September 18, 2023. Born July 7, 1964 in Harlan, he had lived here all of his life. He was a former gas station manager. Mike enjoyed four-wheeling, playing the piano, collecting knives and whittling. He believed in the Christian faith.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Wayne Alford.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Chi-Chi Margalene "Margo" Hughes Alford, Dizney; three children, Michael Paul Alford and wife, Stacey, New Market, TN; Mitchell Alford and wife, April, Harlan; and Marlana Ledford and husband, Isaac, Dizney; his mother, Esther Bailey Alford, Greenwood, IN; 11 grandchildren, Breanna Herrington, Riley Herrington, Logan Turner, Jake Turner, Shiloh Turner, Morgan Turner, Ali Turner, Sparrow Turner, Park Turner, Sarah Ledford and Hannah Ledford; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 10 am until 1 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with Tony Hughes and Jesse Hughes officiating.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, payments may be made to the Evarts Funeral Home to assist with his funeral expenses.
