Mary Margaret Stolly, age 87, passed away on Saturday, September 16, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mary Margaret was born August 19, 1936, in Lima to Frederick J. and Bertha A. (Holub) Winkler who preceded her in death.

On January 21, 1956, she married Robert C. Stolly who survives in Lima.

In addition to her husband, Mary Margaret is survived by her children: Ric (Kelly) Stolly, Greg (Suzanne) Stolly, Beth (Mike) Steiger all of Lima and Fred (Mary) Stolly of Sarasota, FL, a son in-law, Dan Moening of Lima and 13 grandchildren: Megan (Sam) Isenbarger, Monica (Alex) Donley, Daniel J. (Heather) Moening, Colin (Samantha Koenig-fiancée) Stolly, Liam Stolly, Brendan Stolly, Nevan Stolly, Jami Priddy, Holli (J) Ellis, Sam (Alyssa) Stolly, Lesli Stolly, Jenna (Andrew) Greiwe and Jon (Brittany) Steiger and 16 great grandchildren. Her extended family includes numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters-in-law: Jo, Shirley and Nancy Stolly.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Moening, a sister, Teresa (Jay) Roller, brothers-in-law: Jack, Dick, Tom and Jim Stolly and one sister-in-law, Naomi Stolly.

Mary Margaret was a 1954 graduate of St. Rose Catholic School. She volunteering in various capacities at St. Charles Catholic School.

She was involved with countless committees and organizations helping in any way needed and served for twenty-one years (1972 - 1993) as Cafeteria Manager at St. Charles Catholic School.

She was an active charter member of St. Charles Catholic Church and volunteered in numerous capacities and committees including Altar Rosary Society, offertory gift organizer, "Give-A- Christmas" and Parish Reach Out Program to name a few.

She also served in various roles at Lima Central Catholic including the Women's Athletic Boosters, Athletic Field Project dinners, LCC Capital Campaign, School Auction, and along with her husband was inducted into the Lima Central Catholic Hall of Fame in 2019.

Mary Margaret was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly. She thoroughly enjoyed entertaining with dinners as well as celebrating holidays and birthdays with family.

She seldom missed a T-Bird athletic event, concert, play or recital especially when her children and her grandchildren were involved. Mary Margaret was a skilled seamstress / alterations expert and made her own wedding dress.

While raising her five children she also made numerous outfits for them and many others. She also dedicated her time as an Allen County election poll worker for numerous years.

There will be a Mass of Christian burial on Thursday, September 21 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church, Lima with Fr. Kent Kaufman officiating. Following the mass entombment will take place in Gethsemani Cemetery Mausoleum.

Friends may visit on Wednesday September 20 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL, 1170 Shawnee Road, Lima, OH 45805. During the visitation there will be a rosary service starting at 7:30 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Victoria Anne Moening Memorial Scholarship C/O Lima Central Catholic High School, 720 South Cable Road, Lima, OH 45805.

The family would also like to thank Bridge Hospice of Findlay and family friend Marty Schreiber who helped throughout Mary Margaret's illness.
