Lydia was born Nov. 5, 1922, in Hill County. She was a founding member of Christ Lutheran Church and a member of the Texas Federation of the Blind. Lydia enjoyed dancing and playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Elton West, in August 1965.
Survivors: Son, Ray West and his wife, Sherrie; grandson, Brian West and his wife, Dana; brothers, Robert Schreiber and his wife, Barbara, and Eldon Schreiber and his wife, Ruby; sisters-in-law, Hazel West and Nell Black and her husband, Nolan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
