Lester Lavern McDonald, age 83, of McMinnville, TN died Friday, September 8, 2023 at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN.
He was born March 12, 1940 in Pittsfield, PA, was retired as a heavy equipment mechanic, and served his country with the U. S. Marine Corps.
Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Martha Mae Williams McDonald; and ten siblings.
Survivors include his sons, David McDonald, and Brian McDonald; grandchildren, Christopher, Thomas, and Tauna McDonald, and Lauren (Matthew) Carter; great-grandchildren, Luca, Anna Leigh, and Ever Leigh McDonald; sister, Mary Ciminnisi- Stabler; and other family members and friends also survive.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dwight Rackley officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McMinnville Funeral Home.
