A Mass for Burt G. Abar, 62, of East Orange will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Name Church, East Oragne, after the funeral from the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, 323 Park Ave., Orange.
Mr. Abar, who died Monday in the East Orage Veterans Medical Center, had been a clerical worker with the Sperry Corp. in Parsippany for 10 years, retiring four years ago.
Mr. Abar served in the Army from 1945 to 1965. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 21, Newark and the Disabled American Veterans.
Born in Massachusetts, he lived in East Orange for 25 years. Surviving are two brothers, James and Jerome, and a sister, Mrs. Ann Knapp.
