Private Theodore Salamo, was drafted into Company G, 97th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry on Sept. 23, 1863, for 3 yrs.. He was wounded in the face and ankle while in the trenches near Petersburg, Va., on Aug. 29, 1864. He died of chronic diarrhea at the U. S. Hospital, David's Island, N. Y, on May 26, 1865; bu. in Cypress Hill Cem., L. I. grave 2,887.
