CIVIL SOLDIER WAR 69TH PA.INF
Samuel Sailor enlisted in the 69th.Pa.Inf.(Philadelphia) on the 20th.Jan.1861 and mustered in at Camp Observation Md. 31st. Oct. 1861 into Co. K. He was aged 45. He took ill during the Peninsular Campaign he died near Portsmouth R.I.and died July 26th. 1862.
Originally buried at Portmsouth Grove, Portsmouth, R.I. then remains later transferred to Cypress Hills National Cemetery New York.
