Dale was born March 28, 1943 in Long Beach, California, the daughter of Don Ed Vorhies and Cordelia Gwen Rutherford.
She graduated from Robert A. Millikan High School in Long Beach, CA in 1961, where she excelled in music. Her faithful marriage to Kenneth Wesley Albright on May 19, 1962 continued for forty-six years until his passing in 2008. In addition to working as an administrative secretary, Dale served for thirty-three years as a pastor's wife in six Wesleyan churches located in North Carolina, South Carilina, Michigan, and Iowa. She graciously ministered to congregations as an organist, Sunday school teacher, women's leader, and children's director. Her donation of hand-sewn blankets and pillows to young, single mothers continued until her final days.
Dale was loved by all who knew her and will be remembered for her kind gentleness, service to others and generosity of spirit.
Dale is survived by a sister, Patricia Elliott, of Spokane, WA; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Teresa Albright of New Bern, NC; a daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Dan Ocheltree of Indianapolis, IN; a granddaughter, Lauren Albright; four grandsons, Zachary Albright, Josh Albright, Nathan Ocheltree and Jonathan Ocheltree; and four great-grandchildren, Kameron Albright, Kaleb Albright, Laiken Albright and Weston Albright.
She will take her final rest beside her husband, following a private family committal service at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa.
