Mrs. Betty Joyce Wigley Cook, age 84 of Bowersville, Ga., passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at home surrounded by family.
She was born in Marietta, GA on February 22,1939 to the late Henry Clay Wigley and Kate Story Wigley. She was a member of Canon Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a talented artist, loved serving in children's ministry and with the youth group. She was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves.
Left to cherish her memories are her children; Brad Cook of Bowersville, GA and Nancy Andrews of Scotland; grandchildren, Cat Jennings of Melborn, FL and David Becker, Tampa, FL.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Milton Doyle Cook; brothers; Billy Wigley, Edward Wigley, Hamp Wigley; sisters, Nannie Ruth Frappied, Velma Wigley, Louise McArthur, and Jeanette Smith.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 4:00 pm at Nancy Hart Memorial Park. There will be no visitation. The family will be at the home.
Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
