Melba Brewer, 86, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008 in Midland. She was born November 6, 1921 in Delta County, Texas to Claude Glaspie and Estelle Bond.

Mrs. Brewer is survived by her sons, W. L. "Les" Brewer of Elk City, Oklahoma and B. W. "Bill" Brewer of Houston, Texas; her daughters, Glenda Smith of Metairie, Louisiana and Donna Coles of Ft. Worth, Texas; sisters, Ruth Holcomb of Stanton, Virginia Ringner of Big Spring, Texas and Peggy Fitzgerald of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 pm Friday, April 11, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Jimmy Braswell officiating. A prayer service will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, April 10, 2008 in Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Midland.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
