Reed Peter A, son of William and Caroline Reed, was born in Noble County Aug. 27, 1855 and died June 25, 1937 at the home of his daughter, Cora at Cromwell, Ind. Surviving are the widow, Nellie J. (Bartley); 2 daughters, Mrs. Icy Smoyer of Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. Cora Hossinger of Cromwell; and 3 sons, Dennis E. and Frank of Churubusco, and Walter of Albion; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Stacey of Augusta, Kansas. One daughter, Mrs. Hazel Hossinger, preceded him in death.
He had spent most of his life in this county with the exception of a few years in the west. For a number of years he operated general stores at Burr Oak and Lisbon. He retired following a serious illness six years ago. Funeral was held at Miser Funeral.
