Glenn (sic) Adamson, Jr., son of Lawrence Glenn and Alta Ethel (Doane) Adamson, was born near Nelson, Nebraska, November 3, 1914 and passed away April 19, 1975 in Salem, Oregon.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, then studied for his Engineering Degree at Silver City, New Mexico. He had been with the Oregon State Highway Department for over twenty years.
He was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Salem, Oregon, Masonic Lodge No. 77 of Nelson and Local 701 International Union of Operating Engineers, Oregon. He attained a personal goal and received his Pilot's License on December 9, 1967.
Glenn (sic) and Esther C. Carroll were married August 13, 1935 at Red Cloud, Nebraska. One son preceded him in death.
He is survived by his widow, Esther; daughter, Susan of Salem, Oregon; sons, Richard of Aloha, Portland, Oregon, Lawrence of Salem and Thomas of Albany, Oregon; three daughters-in-law; 3 grandchildren; brothers, Clifford of Nelson, Nebraska, LaVerne of Denver, Colorado and Dwight of Exeter, Nebraska and sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Marvel) McMullen, Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Leslie (Leone) Troudt, Hastings, Nebr. and Mrs. Herb (Peggy) Van Buren, Phoenix, Arizona.
Services were held Wednesday, April 23rd, in the Howell-Edwards-Doerksen Chapel of the Gardens, Salem, Oregon, with the Reverend Richard Martin officiating. Private interment in the Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon.
